Winter Camping Trip
A few of the Elite Force boys went on a camping trip Friday afternoon. This was our first Winter camping trip. The temperatures were in the 30's and 40's and it started raining early Saturday morning. We had burritos for dinner on Friday and sausage and eggs for breakfast Saturday morning. The tent didn't leak at all and we stayed pretty dry in spite of the weather.http://www.elite-force.org

Dreams of Flying

Dreams start early! This is a photo of me when I was 6 years old. My brother was a helicopter flight instructor at Ft. Rucker, Alabama after returning from a tour in Vietnam.
He is my only sibling and is 18 years older than I am. He put me in the cockpit of this Huey for a quick photo when my parents and I visited him and his wife at Ft. Rucker.
Apache Attack Helicopter
I have piloted a lot of different aircraft over the years, but my all time favorite was the AH-64 Apache. I was a Co-pilot/Gunner in the Apache and flew in the South Carolina Army National Guard. The Gulf War was going on during the time I served and our unit prepared to go, but it was all over before we could be deployed.
18 year old helicopter pilot
I started taking flying lessons at 16 and got my private fixed wing license by the time I was 17. On my 18th birthday I earned my commercial helicopter license. Look at that goofy hairdo!Kids, if you believe it, you can achieve it! Find out what you're good at and what you enjoy doing. Ask God to help you discover your talents and gifts. He gives talents and gifts to everybody. Prayerfully set your goals and read them daily. Be determined to go out and make it happen. My Dad used to say, "Put feet on your prayers."
When you find something you're passionate about and good at, you will find an amazing amount of energy and be able to overcome seemingly impossible odds.
Amberjack Attack!

My son Chase is admiring this 35 lb. amberjack I caught while fishing on a headboat out of Wilmington, N.C. Chase is 12 years old now, so we both look a little different these days.
I caught this fish and a 22 lb. amberjack on my first offshore fishing trip. I was hooked after this trip to say the least. Amberjacks pull hard!
Fat Albert
This is a False Albacore Tuna, AKA "Fat Albert" I caught off the coast of North Carolina using a fly rod several years ago. If you've never tried fishing for these, you don't know what you're missing! They will frequently take 200 yards of line and sometimes make runs back at the boat. Try it sometime. You'll like it!
